"Demonios da Garoa" is known as the oldest group by the "Guinness BooK of Records". Formed in 1942, on the brazillian neighborhood called Mooca, where there is a strong italian influence, located on the state of São Paulo. Initialy called "Grupo do Luar" (Moonlight Group), they used to play "serenatas" (molodic love songs) through out the night. In 1943, after winning a contest on one of the famous brazillian radio networks called Bandeirantes, they signed a contract with "Emissoras Unidas"
